Issue 0 – “I wish I were Darker”

The inaugural issue of “DarkSkin Revolution Magazine” boldly introduced the movement with Blanche Etock, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief, gracing the cover. This deeply personal edition set the tone for the magazine’s mission to challenge colorism and reshape global beauty standards. With its headline “J’aurais aimé être plus noire” (“I wish I were Darker”), the issue explored the internalized struggles of identity, representation, and self-worth in the Black community. More than a launch—it was a declaration, sparking heartfelt conversations and laying the foundation for a powerful platform that celebrates melanin, dignity, and diversity in every shade.
